Social handle: @gordothekelpie
Age: 3
Breed: Kelpie

Name: Gordo

Also known as…. (Any nicknames?) : Gordito - little fat one in Spanish

How does your hound like to start the day?
Quickly! As soon as I move, he is good to go 🙂 and we head out for a walk to stretch our legs and hopefully enjoy the morning sunshine and a pinecone or three.

What was the first command they learned?
Good question… His Name and Sit were the first commands that he learnt and since then he has learnt so many and will do them for most people…

The one they find hardest to follow?
Quiet…  we aren’t a fan of being quiet, especially when someone comes to the house or he gets super excited!

What would their perfect day look like?
Waking up in a tent in the mountains with a beautiful sunrise and then hiking, exploring, swimming before a beautiful sunset and repeating.

Favourite snack?
Salmon Skins…  these arrive at home and he will sit and bark at the box they’ve arrived in, and won’t leave the box until I open it… Let’s just say they are a hit!  Next the classic cheese hit, as he knows when I open the cheese packet and is right there!

Most adorable habit?
How excited he gets to see his favourite people and dogs, it is really really special and to see that he just can’t contain his excitement is just beautiful.

The weirdest thing they do?
Oh this was a tough question, but one thing I find weird, and also endearing, is that he will destroy any soft toy that is given to him, unless it is a QMonster Ball!  Those he will keep in perfect (ish) condition and we still have his first one that he got when he was 6 months old!

The thing most likely to get their tail wagging?
Definitely favourite people and dogs…  and equally it would be searching for a lost pinecone, he just loves finding the perfect one and then searching and searching if it gets thrown and he really has to look for it.

Most likely to be told off for…
Barking at motorbikes, he absolutely hates them and because they suddenly appear and as they are extra scary he isn’t a fan.  Aside from that… probably not bringing me the ball back as he will side eye me looking for another person to throw it and not pop it away in the bag… (Cheeky)

Favourite snoozing spot?
This has to be on my bed, as it’s definitely the most popular place whilst I’m working.  He isn’t worried if there is sun or no sun, just as long as he is close and can keep an ear on me…
