There’s a chompable chunk of freeze-dried meat behind each window, but which cut will it be? It could be any one of five Hound favourites, randomly assorted and sure to get the tail going at full noise!

Ingredients: Beef steak, beef tripe, chicken meat (deboned & minced with soft cartilage), beef liver, salmon skin. All 100% New Zealand raised, freeze-dried at its freshest.
Packaging: Recycle the box with cardboard and the sleeve with soft plastics.

It’s recommended that treats make up no more than 10% of a dog’s daily calories. Always ensure fresh clean water is available for your best friend and supervise while feeding. These treats are not for human consumption.
Note: Salmon Skins, Steak Bites and Tripe Slices are unprocessed so have naturally occurring variances in meat. Individual pieces will vary in shape and fat content so be mindful when feeding dogs with special dietary needs.

These freeze-dried raw meat morsels can be fed dry or softened in water. If softening, soak the meat in a small dish of water for 10-15 minutes to plump it up.
Understanding activity levels
Understanding activity levels
Treat allowances are guided by a dog’s weight and their activity level. The activity levels referred to in the Hound treat allowance guide are defined as follows:
- Low activity typically means one short, flat walk (20 -30 minutes) per day. The dog is mostly indoors or resting
- Moderate activity typically means 30-45 minutes of total daily movement (2 x brisk walks, off-lead play or mild hills). The dog will be noticeably panting.
- High activity typically means vigorous exercise for 60 minutes or more (running, agility, farm or working dogs)
For high activity dogs, use the Moderate activity serving size and increase by 25% if the dog has a sustained workload.

Freeze-drying makes our dog treats safe and shelf-stable at room temperature. Freeze-dried meat absorbs moisture from the air – after opening, store advent calendar in a cool, dry place. Use rehydrated portions within 24 hours.
